It is always a pleasure to drop by the Grand Rapids, Ohio library. They are friendly and very helpful. They do something no other library has ever done and that is give me a telephone call when the books I ask for come in. Also, the emails to remind me that things are coming close to being due. This is extremely helpful to me. . .that reminder. They manage to get almost 100 percent of the books I request. They surpass my expectations. Thanks for this very very special American tradition, the public libraries.

I'm from Arizona and came to visit, needed some important papers printed so went to the library. Was told I could not use the computer since I'm not from around here and don't have a library pass, their reasoning was because their computers are new and since I didn't have a library pass I couldn't be trusted with their new computers. The lady did however offer to print them for me I just needed to give her my email address and password so she can sign in to and print what I needed, um no thank you, not sharing my password. Ended up going to Waterville public library, they were friendly, provided me with a guest pass as every other library I have visited when out of town has done. If you're not local don't even bother with grand rapids library.
